boulevard of broken dreams
I so wanted to do a picture like that but on a trip deprived of sleep, it was difficult to go out early (or late) enough to find an empty Broadway street to mimic such an iconic image.
NYC is an amazing place. Visit Mr. T for a long recap. There isn't a place in the world other than NYC that could possibly hold so much culture. I would love to live in a place like that if not for the freezing wind whipping in your face. My California-raised body probably would not survive a full winter there (although I'm originally from the snowy areas of the mid-west).
Anyway, I missed the broadcast of 20/20's Stupid in America, but have read up on it here. It just pisses me off more in regards to the outcome of the special elections that occurred here in CA back in November. Teacher unions were being selfish and the general population fell for their misguiding pleas. Such a sad state of affairs (sure, I'm painting a broad brush but, oh well, I'm the artist in this opinion).

"hey." (looks away) "hey." (looks longingly)
Forget "The O.C.", the new best teen drama goes to "The 'Bu". It even stars Sarah Chalke (of "Scrubs") as the main love interest (every now and then that is).
