in your face
Where you at Nam? Where you at?
Did I call it or what? Ever since his first bout when he admitted to his fear of losing (something I found to be a great quality), I knew Sergio Mora was destined to conquer The Contender. And he did so tonight. All I have to say now is, looks don't help you in a fight, Nam!

cascading tranquility
Holy smokesness. Look at this page: Zen Garden in a Mozilla browser (Firefox), then look at it in Internet Explorer. Be amazed as no script is used, it's pure css. I'm fascinated.

"Anakin! Why?!?!?! You fool!!!!! You were married to Natalie Portman!!!!!"
SWIII: ROTS. Besides the above, all I have to say is, "Disappointed, I am not."
And Cowboy Troy? Weird? Word.

Via Merriam-Webster Asks: What's Your Favorite Word (That's Not in the Dictionary)?
detroitus (n): car parts found alongside the highway
Bwahaha. I'm a Ford fan but even I readily admit the humor in that.

the rumors, the truth, the horror
My friend, Ky (aka The Loser), ditched going to the gym last night to watch Britney and Kevin: Chaotic. Word is, it's the truth about the life of Britney Spears and the leech. Can we handle her truth? Do we care? Anyway, my friend said it sucked, badly. That is all.

the man, the myth, the horror
Hercules was on last night. NBC describes it as follows:
With groundbreaking special effects, "Hercules" is the definitive re-telling of the most famous myth of all - the story of a half-god, half-man whose extraordinary feats of strength would elevate him to the status of legend on Earth and immortality in the heavens.
I describe it as follows:
With some of the worst modern day special effects, "Hercules" is a catastrophic re-telling of one of the most famous Greek myths.
Awful. Bad acting, bad editing, bad writing, bad choreography, bad everything. It was so bad, I felt like walking out of my room. Basically, it can be summed up from a line while Hercules and Linus are traversing the River Styx: "If this isn't Hell, it's close enough." (bad line #578)

is it like this or like that?
I Beat Anorexia - brilliance or just plain wrong?
Mylo covering "Sweet Child Of Mine" - genius or sacrilege?
Hungry Lucy was exquisite at the DNA Lounge. It was well worth the loss of sleep just to hear that enchanting voice of Christa Belle. Enamored I am.
Oh and Bloodwire was pretty good too.
I must give it to my two friends who came along though, going into something you didn't really know and coming out with no complaints. That takes guts and tolerance. Thanks for enduring.

the calling, no, not the band

My sentiments exactly.
Anyway, I've discovered my new dream job (which replaces my former dream job of being a Joe Boxer boxer designer). I now want to be one of the guys that designs the screens that show up before and after commercial breaks for Conan O'Brien. Those things are brilliant.

don't investigate that strange noise behind that door
I'm beginning to feel the hype of Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith. I'm a little fearful of watching it though. Why? No, not because I think it won't live up to expectations or anything. It's because I think I'll end up like the teenage girls watching Troy screaming out "No!!!" when Paris shoots Achilles with the fatal arrow(s). Only, I will be yelling out "No!!! Anakin!! Why?!? Why did you turn to the dark side and leave Natalie Portman like that?!? You fool!!!" It's just one of those things you know will happen, but yet you don't want it to. But, this fear is minor--it's not like swimming with sharks--I will conquer it and it will be worth it.

feeling like a gopher
My company officially moved locations this week. The office is now bigger and more compact with lots of empty cubicles (for expansion purposes). It's brighter here, but far more distant (as in more corporate feeling). There's a gym here (or excercise room, haven't seen it yet, need an access key for it), which is a super plus, and perhaps I can start working out here on mondays and wednesdays after work. I may need to seeing as to how I just broke my chair.

stolen from jo whiley: what rocks and what sucks
Rocks: Chilling at Coachella, seeing Snow Patrol, Razorlight, Rilo Kiley, and Weezer, and roadtripping.
Sucks: Missing The Raveonettes and time constraints.
By the way, I was a bit disappointed by the song catalogue of Razorlight but totally thought their stage presence and performance rocked. I wasn't feeling it till I saw that the lead singer really knew how to do a rock show. Rilo Kiley was freaking amazing, love the voice and the masterpiece (aka: "Does He Love You"). Snow Patrol was fairly cool, nothing much else to say. Weezer whooped some ass, but I still think they would have lit the place on fire if they had actually performed "El Scorcho."
