ignorance vs. knowledge

If the ability to see psychic visions is a reality, what exactly is seen in these visions? By that I mean, are these visions shown to the psychic like tv shows/movies where he/she sees a scene from a fated future? If so, who chooses the angle and position in which these scenes are shown?

As for other things, the twist was shocking and disturbing. Questioning was what resulted in the tragedy. There were so many chances to escape the path, but none were taken. Is knowing a horrible truth better than accepting lies? Sometimes those boundaries are blurred. Go watch Oldboy. You will be floored.

are you sponge-worthy?

If Elaine was not a fictional character, she would be histerical with joy from the news that the sponge is going back on the market. I guess the term is unnecessary now. I'll miss you "sponge-worthy."

i want to be the wheelbarrow

Something about this buyout of Macromedia by Adobe doesn't sit well with me. As the article says, competition is good, monopoly is bad. Besides that old philosophy, I'm also afraid that this will result in major changes (merging of softwares?) to my favorite softwares. As a member of the human race, change is always hard to accept, especially when it comes to having to relearn technology. I'll reserve further judgement though and wait on what Adobe has to say.

the audience is now deaf: part deux

I can't listen to Colin and Edith this week because of two successive things: they have apparently chosen Amerie's "1 Thing" as their CD burner for the week and I have a large fear of going deaf.

if it's not scottish, it's crap

Sorry for the profanity of the post from last night, but there just isn't a better way to emphasize how much Garbage rocked the Warfield last night. However, I can't say the same for The Dead 60's (the opening act) though. I mean, yeah sure, they seemed like they were jamming until I realized that all they could do was the "Franz Ferdinand thing" with the fast and short guitar strokes. Even their attempts at masking their one trick-ways with a keyboard or a cowbell (possibly the only saving grace from their performance) could not over come their repetitiveness.

Standing through that was worth the reward in the end though. Seeing Shirley Manson (gorgeous as ever) come out in her red dress and red hair (always preferred it over that blonde look she did a while back) and rocking the entire set overcame any other annoyances (those of you there know what annoyances I'm talking about). Now I await till tomorrow, so that I may bleed like Shirley.

we are their dream

Making Tracks is playing at the San Jose Repertory Theatre until April 17th. I highly recommend anyone who enjoys theatre musicals or wishes to enhance his/her cultural view to give it a try. It's a rock musical about the history and story of several generations of one family as they live their lives having immigrated from Asia to the United States. However, to call this just an Asian American story is not doing it justice, for it is an American tale that any ethnicity can find some relation to (at least if you live in the States). The story is sad, dramatic, humorous, and inspiring. I was moved.
