a dream come true?

I know Tham would love this. I'll have to make a suggestion to her next time.

Anyway, new hostee. He's quite the ho. No idea what he has planned, we'll see.

the smart, the dumb, and the fascinating

Alright, let's start with the fascinating. It's another reason to like dolphins and another reason to hate sharks.

And now, the smart. Those clever bastards. Funny funny.

And finally, the dumb.

Have a good holiday weekend.

aging gracefully and borrowing rudely

I'm going to think differently of elders now.

And sending out arrest warrants for overdue library books seems a bit extreme, but I never thought about how much it all adds up. Come to think of it, I was looking for a book just the other day and it was checked out 3 years ago and remained overdue. I think I'm for it (too bad this proposal is in Michigan though).

greatest hits (my phobia) and the end of an era

See why I fear sharks?

Anyway, it's weird, a Britney Spears album came out and I didn't purchase it (at least not on release week--cause I still may in the future). Is it the end of my fandom? Is it the end of my obsession for over half a decade? Is it the end of my teenage youth? Oh well, I, maybe, have a new Britney Spears now in Bonnie Mckee. She's good, but I'm still lazy to write a review, and that's my prerogative.

learning from history

I've been some what enveloped on health issues lately (for some reason or another) and just recently read an article suggesting that it is within our own benefit to get a history on the health problems of your close family members. It also points to a handy new tool provided by The United States Department of Health and Human Services, which helps you organize the information. Now I'd be all on this, but I think I'd just be too lazy to dig up the information.

the four-letter word at first sight and the never ending hunt

Next movie that is a must see for me? Come a little Closer and I may tell you. Oh wait, darn. Anyway, I anxiously await to see another scene-stealing performance by Natalie Portman. However, the word out there is that she disrobes in this movie (she plays a stripper after all). I'm not too keen on that for some reason and I hope the word out there isn't true, but I'll survive if it is. It's just a little bit of a loss of innocence I guess, but not quite sure how to pinpoint why I'd be disappointed. I spent my high school years admiring her until now (she's about the same age as me) and it'd just be, I don't know, kinda weird. Oh well.

inconsideration in lack of preparation

How come people don't read their sample ballots and fill it out before they go to vote? If people would just do that, the voting process would be so much more faster. I went to vote this morning. I arrived at 7:22am (ballots open at 7am). I was hoping to be in and out of there in 10-15 minutes. Needless to say, it took far longer than that, thanks to the people in front of me, who made their decisions on the spot. Now if they had just taken the time to read up on things before hands, even though they wouldn't have necessarily saved themselves time, they sure as heck would have saved the time of the people behind them (which would be me, in other words). Be considerate people. Then again, I was probably the only person there that actually marked my votes before I went in. It was evident by the surprise of one of the volunteers who said to me, "wow, finished already?" I couldn't help but inwardly say to myself "no duh, it doesn't take long to just copy my previous markings." The whole casting my vote part took me all of less than 5 minutes. The other 30-40 minutes was spent waiting in line. I'm just annoyed. Maybe I should just do absentee voting next time (but then how would I get one of those cool "I Voted" stickers?).

Anyway, I got the Bonnie Mckee album, Trouble. Hopefully, if I'm not too lazy, I'll write a review of it soon.

the mentality of invulnerability, but the physicality of frail humanity

There's a girl with a rare mutation in her genes that causes her to not feel pain. It's hard to imagine how that would be like, but it sounds scary. Odd that her fearlessness causes so much fear in those who care about her. It's sad really. Her mutation only goes to show that pain is necessary and, perhaps, the next time we are hurt, we shouldn't wish to not feel the pain. Of course physical pain is highly different from emotional pain. I'm pretty sure she still can feel that, and oddly, I think that's the one pain that we can do without. Then again, what's to say what emotional joy is without emotional pain. Ah, the loops and the questions. I know one thing, "I can stop the pain if I will it all away." - Amy Lee (or maybe Ben Moody?)
